Temi Odurinde

Temi has a long term interest in poverty alleviation. The idea to create a water empowerment charity first occurred to him about eighteen years ago, in Agege, Lagos, Nigeria when he bought “ice water” from a seven year old vendor he thought should be at School, not hawking water in the streets.

He was galvanised into moving the idea forward in 2014, after doing a professional placement at a poverty alleviation charity, Bees for Development in Monmouth, Wales in 2014. After completing a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development Advocacy at Bulmer Foundation / Worcester University in July 2015, he founded Hope Spring Water with help from his friend Abbey Longe. Temi will like to see Hope Spring contribute in a modest way towards achieving some of the WASH (water sanitation & hygiene) elements of the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) in his country of origin, Nigeria.
