Give Water to Poor School Children in Ilorin, Nigeria

Contribute to the future of poor school children in Nigeria

Poor Internet access, hardous registration process, unreliable electricity and poor health are some of the reasons to drop the idea of raising $5000 for the first phase of campaign that aims at securing the future of poor school children by providing a hygienic water source that could keep them in school.

The Qur’an notes that the Prophet was sent as mercy to the entire universe .

Help keep these school children Safe in School

According to Abdurahman Muhammad Awwal who has taught both Science and Arts subjects in the school for 10 years, the problem of the school is multidimensional and complicated because kids in the school are of poor background with barely educated parents who often send the children to the street to hawk in order to meet immediate economic needs once they have lunch break at school and go home to drink water or use the toilet. Some of these children often end their studies for the day on the street hawking, without returning to school after lunch break.

An intervention in this school could be as gratifying as the result of our very first project in Africa, four years ago at Kongbari community in Ilorin West Local Government of Kwara State, where the community has moved from women and girls of the community walking long distances and having to queue endlessly for water to one where our water facility has helped improve household economy by sustaining businesses like laundry services.

Access to water is a human right & SDG6

Hope Spring Water Charity is raising funds for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) projects in Jalala Junior Secondary School, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. We intend to provide them a borehole facility at the end of this fund raising and a functional toilet upon a second fund raising.

Brighten the smile and the future of a child

Your contribution to the cause of these poor school kids can make a big difference in the life of these children. As the blessed month of Ramadan runs on, let us show them we care about their future by donating to this project. This would allow them to get the best from school and save them from diseases that they are prone to as a result of open defecation some of them engage in.
