Menstrual Hygiene Management 2019

Menstrual Hygiene Management 2019

As part of the Hope Spring Pad-Bank Initiative, Hope Spring Water Charity Foundation will be organizing Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) workshops in schools across 5 locations in different states in Nigeria.

Hope Spring Water initiated the Pad-Bank project to empower women and young girls with the right knowledge to demystify menstruation myths and end period poverty. Since inception of the initiative in 2017, the project has impacted over 12,000 women and girls across various communities in Nigeria and attracting various local and international partners.

In order to mark the 2019 Menstrual Hygiene Day, Hope Spring Water will be organizing Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshops in schools across Nigeria. The target schools are located in 5 regions across the country, namely; Abuja, Lagos, Ogun, Enugu and Nsukka.

In line with this year’s theme – “Time for Action” – the workshop will be focused on raising menstrual hygiene champions amongst school children who will serve as change agents to end stigmatization and demystify menstruation myths in their communities.
Participants will receive sanitary pads courtesy of our partner, Lady Care Nigeria.
